Way to go TEAM!

We have had great groups on Mondays. Such a big group in fact that "Grapple" isn't gonna work (we'll save it for a rainy day). Last years' small group would allow for a discussion type teaching environment. But, this year with a full house, rrrr van load rather, we are back to "Kidmo" curriculum. Bigger group means we are in the big room (sanctuary) with the big, big media screen and loud, loud music. Lovin' it! This weeks' lesson was about knowing God as Daddy.
A couple of cool things happened yesterday. First, the lesson taught that kids shouldn't call their Dad's by their name, but by Dad or Daddy. Thus, showing them respect and honor. Likewise with God~the challenge was not to use His name recklessly or thoughtlessly. One child openly refers to someone in her family by their first name instead of by their relationship. That child had a change of heart and on her prayer card she referred to that family member appropriately. Yeah!
Second, a child who lost her Dad last year shared with her peers the importance in taking every moment they had with their dads/stepdads and making it special because you never know what tomorrow holds. This was powerful! It stirred fear of losing her dad in one child and made a few others sad about missing grandparents who were gone, but ministry took place. Kellen asked for prayer for his ears. And we prayed!
